Joolies brings delicious, organic Medjool dates from farm to consumer, and it’s a delicious, healthy on-the-go option for snackers everywhere. They were looking for new ways to create customer acquisition, generate brand awareness in key regions, and increase velocity of the Joolies brand.

Through multiple digital sampling campaigns, Social Nature supported brand awareness and sales growth at retail stores, such as Pavillion, Vons, Albertsons, Acme, Safeway, Shoprite, Meijer, and Whole Foods.

Acquiring new target consumers

Social Nature presented a valuable customer acquisition opportunity for the brand, and successfully connected Joolies’ target consumers with their product. In fact, 93% of consumers who tried the product said they would buy Joolies pitted dates again.

To date, Joolies has received over 7,500 product reviews with an average star rating of 4.6/5, extending their omnichannel reach.

The volume of reviews signals trust with both retailers and consumers. New and existing retail buyers feel confident with listing Joolie’s products. The reviews have improved their SEO rankings on major search engines. The product ratings are visible on search, providing further social proof for potential consumers to click into Joolie’s products.

Another key advantage of having a lot of ratings and reviews is improved keyword search on certain retailers websites. High product ratings can increase your visibility on retailers’ search algorithms.

Valuable shopper insights

Upon launching their latest product addition, Joolies gained valuable insight into which Medjool date chocolate pairing consumers were most likely to be interested in. This led them to make an informed decision on which flavor combinations to choose for their next product launch.

Social Nature conducted a three months post-trial survey of the original people who sampled the product.  46% who tried the Joolies product sampled repurchased it, and 86% of shoppers who tried Joolies repurchased at Meijer. On average, consumers now buy the product sampled 0.9x/month.
