Andalou wanted to drive new customer acquisition at key retail accounts, and in partnering with Social Nature, the results were staggering:

  • 418% value sales lift at Whole Foods YOY in September 2023
  • 1,750% value sales lift at Sprouts YOY in September 2023

Solution

In July of 2023, Andalou partnered with Social Nature on a product sampling campaign of their Deep Hydration Multi-Correcting Cream. Of Social Nature’s 1M community of better-for-you shoppers, 5,000 members that had an interest in skin care and lived within 5 miles of a Sprouts or Whole Foods were chosen. The campaign ran from July 25-October 1, 2023 (68 days), and the results were beyond anyone’s expectations.

Results

The campaign was successful on multiple dimensions:

  • Sales lift YOY in September increased 1720% at Sprouts and 418% at Whole Foods.
  • 81% of consumers who tried the product indicated their intent to repurchase, and these reviews were syndicated to support the brand’s D2C sales.
  • In a post-trail survey, 56% of those surveyed said their next beauty purchase would be an Andalou product, taking market share from several category leaders.
  • Campaign participants indicated they would like Andalou’s products to be available at Target - data that was used to persuade the retailer to stock their products.
